New Voices in Space, a working group of Space Scotland, is pleased to announce a free Inclusivity and Leadership Training and Workshop event in collaboration with EDI expert, Dr. Athina Frantzana, Human Factors Consultant, Christian Wilhelm, and Change Management Organisation, Connect Three on the 28th of September (8:30 am – 1:30 pm).

Venue: Conference room, Higgs Centre, Edinburgh.

Date: 28th of September 2022, Wednesday

Time: 8:30 am – 1:30 pm

The event will see the launch and distribution of the comprehensive EDI Guidance document geared toward senior leadership, HR personnel, or anyone with leadership/management and decision-making responsibilities in the UK and Scottish Space Sector followed by an address by guest speaker, John Innes as well as a panel with representation from Scottish space companies. This will be followed by two hands-on workshops and labs which will run parallelly in two sessions and will also be geared towards senior managers/HR personnel/decision makers at Space Scotland member organizations. The event will cater to breakfast and a light lunch to aid some mingling and networking time between members. The event will end at 1:30 pm. Post workshop, members of Space Scotland will be provided access to follow-up paid training and policy writing expertise at subsidized rates.

This will be a great opportunity to engage with Human Factor, Leadership, and EDI consultant groups and get access to (highly) subsidized rates for future services around organizational EDI and training needs. In addition to this, the event will be quite hands-on with two free workshops from Scottish Organisations and an opportunity to ask/discuss specific individual organizational needs. All participants will have access to the EDI Guidance policy which has been specifically tailored to the Space Sector, there will be opportunities to pass on your feedback to some of the consultants who have volunteered to work on this over the last many months. Plans are in the early discussion phase for the development of an online training module plus a wiki, and there will be opportunities to get involved and shape this for maximum impact.

Spaces are still open for Scottish space organizations at various stages of their journey to take part in the event. To reserve a space on behalf of yourself or your organization, please get in touch with Dr. Sonali Mohapatra at
